I used to be a baby who
had others looking out for me.
When it came to the simple things in life
for I wasn’t on my own.
But, now I’m not a baby anymore and I have to fend for myself.
I have God looking out for me but if I don’t decide to depend on him.
Then I only have myself to count on and I’ve learned it wasn’t enough.
I’m not a baby and so my first steps have been taken and now I’ve grown up and I have so many steps to take.
And like it was when I was young I’m not alone no matter how many steps I go forward or backward.
My journey will end with feeling truly at peace and complete.
But, in all truth I will always be my parents baby the youngest child.
